Ambassador Melkonian’s meeting with the Governor of Cairo

On February 21 Armen Melkonian, Ambassador of Armenia in Egypt, met with Atef Abdel Hamid, Governor of Cairo.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects of deepening of ties and cooperation in the various fields between the capitals of two friendly countries. They highlighted the importance of mutual visits and the need for developing an appropriate legal framework.

The governor praised the contribution of the Armenian community to the social and cultural life of Cairo and Egypt.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Ambassador Melkonian highly appreciated the attention and the friendly attitude of the Cairo Governorate towards the Armenian Community of Cairo.
